Makeup Application Pre + Post Care

  • To ensure the best results at your upcoming appointment, there are a few things I recommend doing/not doing.

    - Do not try any new products 2 weeks leading up to your appointment. This is just to ensure no allergic reactions, breakouts etc don’t happen prior to your makeup appointment.

    - Gently exfoliate the skin 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to remove any dead skin cells that may contribute to texture.

    - Be consistent with your moisturizer. Hydration is the number one key to better makeup, so be diligent with keeping your skin hydrated, morning and night.. you’ll thank me later!

    - The day of your appointment, cleanse and moisturize your skin.. I will fully prep your skin prior to your appointment.

  • After your appointment, once you are ready to remove your makeup there are a few things to remember..

    - Remember to remove any lashes, wearing these longer than 24 hours can result in bacteria buildup in your lashes!

    - A makeup wipe is not enough, especially if you are prone to breakouts. Make sure you are actually cleansing your skin and pores after makeup removal to ensure no unwanted breakouts occur.

    - An oil based cleanser (cleansing oils, balms) is the easiest way to remove a full face of longwearing makeup quickly and efficiently.
